Incorporation THE NEW HAVEN, NEW LONDON & STONINGTON RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated in Connecticut, a union of

the NEW LONDON & STONINGTON RAILROAD COMPANY and THE NEW HAVEN & NEW LONDON RAILROAD

COMPANY. The company then had in operation a railroad from New Haven to New London, the right to construct and

operate a ferry from New London to Groton and the right to construct a railroad from Groton to the terminus of THE NEW

YORK, PROVIDENCE AND BOSTON RAILROAD at Stonington. (Company organized March 6, 1857.)

from Middletown depot to the wharf on the Connecticut River, about one mile. (Company organized June 28, 1858.)

railroad from the terminus of the BOSTON & NEW YORK CENTRAL at Mechanicsville to Willimantic, about 26 miles

(Company organized July 9, 1857.)

Incorporation ROCKVILLE BRANCH RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated in Connecticut, with authority to construct a railroad from

Vernon to Rockville, 4.43 miles. (Company organized November 1, 1862.)
