Incorporation THE UNION WHARF COMPANY IN NEW HAVEN incorporated in Connecticut, to protect those who proposed to lay out

funds for the repair and extension of the wharf. (Company organized July 3, 1760.) This was the so-called Long Wharf.

Incorporation ”The Contractors to Rebuild and Support UNION WHARF AND PIER IN NEW HAVEN’ incorporated in Connecticut.

(Company organized July, 1810.)

Incorporation ”President, Directors and Company of the FARMINGTON CANAL” incorporated In Massachusetts. (Company organized

July 31, 1823.) Authorized to construct a canal from tide-water at New Haven through Farmington to the Massachusetts line.

Incorporation BOSTON, NORWICH & NEW LONDON RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated in Connecticut.

Incorporation THE NEW YORK & STONINGTON RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated In Connecticut, with authority to construct a

railroad from Stonington to the Rhode Island line at the Pawcatuck River at Westerly, to connect with the road of the New

York, Providence and Boston Railroad.

Incorporation THE HARTFORD & NEW HAVEN RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated in Connecticut, with authority to construct a

railroad in Connecticut from Hartford to New Haven harbor, 38.5 miles. (Company organized August 25, 1835.)

Incorporation BOSTON & PROVIDENCE RAILROAD & TRANSPORTATION COMPANY incorporated in Rhode Island. This

company constructed a bridge across the Seekonk River and established

its terminal station at India Point, Providence. (Company organized August 9, 1834.)

Railroad to the Connecticut River in Hartford, 0.87 miles. (Company organized March 31, 1848.)

Incorporation THE NEWPORT & FALL RIVER RAILROAD COMPANY incorporated in Rhode Island, with authority to construct a

railroad from Newport to the Massachusetts line connecting with the Fall River Branch Railroad.

5/11/1846
Incorporation New York grants New York & New Haven Railroad authority to extend from Connecticut state line to join New York &

Harlem Railroad at Williamsbridge.
