Opening of Service PROVIDENCE & WORCESTER RAILROAD opened from Millville to Providence.

9/24/1849
Opening of Service NAUGATUCK RAILROAD opened Waterbury to Winsted for passenger service.

Milestone New York & New Haven stockholders resolve that old Board resign; appoint a committee to protect rights of legitimate

stockholders and offer a $5,000 reward for Pres. Schuyler.

9/1/1857
Milestone HARTFORD & NEW HAVEN RAILROAD brought suit against the NEW YORK & NEW HAVEN RAILROAD claiming

violation of the agreement as to restricting construction of the NEW HAVEN & NORTHAMPTON. Lease still unsettled in

1870 when the two roads made a contract of joint operation.

Lease FARMINGTON VALLEY RAILROAD COMPANY and the HAMPSHIRE & HAMPDEN RAILROAD CORPORATION

leased to the NEW HAVEN & NORTHAMPTON COMPANY, which hired the NEW YORK & NEW HAVEN

RAILROAD COMPANY to operate.

9/18/1860
Milestone New York Supreme Court orders cancellation of all bogus New York & New Haven Railroad stock issued by ex-Pres. Robert

Schuyler.

Merger MIDDLETOWN EXTENSION RAILROAD COMPANY merged into HARTFORD & NEW HAVEN RAILROAD

Sale All property of SOUTHERN MIDLAND RAILROAD COMPANY conveyed by deed to BOSTON, HARTFORD & ERIE

RAILROAD COMPANY.

Sale THOMPSON & WILLIMANTIC RAILROAD COMPANY deeded to BOSTON, HARTFORD & ERIE RAILROAD

COMPANY, before completion of line.
