THE NHRHTA 2007 NEW HAVEN RAILROAD CALENDAR


The NHRHTA is proud to announce its all color New Haven Railroad 2007 Calendar!
Our 2007 calendar features the following photos:

Cover  – On a clear afternoon in August, 1959 at Canaan, CT, train #145 rolls to a stop.

Front Piece, A  – An all black NE-5 hack at Plainfield, CT.

Front Piece, B  – New Haven hack C 651 at West Warwick, RI.

January – The Firestone (2nd) passes the classic lower quadrant semaphores at Forest Hills, MA.

February – January, 1960 EDER-5s at Stockbridge, MA.

March –  I-2 1329 drifts into Blackstone, MA with train #130.

April – Busy Boston. A set of DER-3a units backs toward the South Boston passenger yards.

May Boston Division local BX-22 with rebuilt DERS-2c 534 pauses briefly at the stop signal.

June The Day Cape Codder has arrived from New York at Buzzards Bay, MA.

July – Southbound train NX-12 with DERS-2c 531 is passing southward through Rising, MA.

August – The year 1958 was the last full year of total domination by Alco power of Berkshire Line trains, such as #145 shown here braking for Cornwall Bridge, CT.

September – Cedar Hill, CT motor storage has seen a resurgence of electric freight power since the Trustees fell into a fortuitous purchase of the Ex-Virginian freight motors.

October – At Savin Rock Park in 1948, Connecticut Company car 3210 departs.

November – The winter of 1954 finds a pair of open platform MU cars at New Canaan, CT.

December – Train #15, the New Yorker, arrives at Providence, RI.

Rear Cover – A collage of four photos of unique equipment and locations on the NHRR.
