The New Haven Internet Modelers (NHIM) is a SIG with over 30 members in 14 states and 3 countries at present. NHIM was formed in 1996 and some of us started this home page.
The NHIM is an active modeling group, working on mutually agreed upon projects together, corresponding via e-mail, but are not a chat group. We embrace the novice through expert modeler and make no distinction as to ability or scale. Our aim is to encourage our fellow NHIM members, share our modeling talents and techniques, and improve our modeling abilities.
In 1996, we all built a New Haven HO scale depressed center flat car, displaying our models for the first time together at the 1996 NHRHTA reunion. In 1997, we focused on a New Haven HO scale "State of Maine" freight car. In 1998, many of us worked on the New Haven's Osgood Bradley lightweight passenger cars.
If you are (or become) a member of NHRHTA, and wish to actively participate, you too can join NHIM. For more information, contact Charlie Dunn. Or better yet, visit the New Haven Internet Modelers' website.
