Here are a few examples of lapel pins which were worn by New Haven Railroad employees from the collection of Marc Frattasio.
| This pin was worn by members of the New England Railroad Veterans, a fraternal organization for men who had retired from the Boston & Maine, Central Vermont, Bangor & Aroostook, Canadian Pacific, Grand Trunk, Maine Central, Rutland, or New Haven railroads. This organization was founded in 1911. Note the NHRR script monogram in the pin's center. |
| This 'Safety-Efficiency' pin was awarded during the 1920s to New Haven Railroad employees who spotted hotboxes on moving trains, discovered broken rail, or performed similar actions which prevented accidents. The presentation of these pins was often chronicled in 'Along the Line' magazine. |
