Despite its relatively small size, the New Haven was one of the most heavily passenger oriented railroads in the country. In fact, during the modern era, only the commuter heavy Long Island Railroad derived a greater proportion of revenue from passenger service. Over the years the New Haven published a huge variety of advertising folders to promote passenger travel. What follows are a small selection of typical New Haven Railroad travel folders. All items from the collection of Marc Frattasio.

This travel folder from 1935 presents eight day tours to the Gaspe Peninsula in Canada. These tours were operated through the cooperation of the Pennsylvania, New Haven, Boston & Maine, Canadian National, and Central Vermont railroads and also the Canadian Provincial Transportation Company steamship line. |
| This travel folder from the summer of 1938 pitched vacation trips from various New England points to New York City. The interior of this folder featured a detailed map of Manhattan Island and the surrounding area with the city's most popular entertainment spots highlighted and profiled. | ![]() |
